Harter Jazz Band Earns Prestigious Honor
The KHMS Jazz Band submitted an application last spring to perform at the annual Illinois Music Educators Association State Conference and we are pleased to announce that our application was accepted. Of the numerous applications, KHMS was chosen over all the other ensembles in the State of Illinois at the middle school level. They will perform on January 25th on the main stage at the Peoria Civic Center. What an honor!
Being chosen to showcase our jazz band at such a significant event is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and exceptional musical abilities of our students and their director, Mrs. Andersen. The KHMS Jazz Band's performance at this event is a direct reflection of the commitment to excellence our learning community has embraced with our music programs.
On behalf of Kaneland Harter Middle School and Kaneland CUSD 302, congratulations to our amazing jazz band!

Scheduling for the 2024-2025 School Year
In the coming weeks, students and parents will be emailed information about registering for classes for the 2024-2025 school year. All current 6th and 7th grade students will register for classes the week of January 29th during the school day. Please review the information carefully after it is sent. Students will need to fill out the class registration form and bring it with them when it's their day to schedule their classes.
