Kaneland CUSD 302 Inquiry Circles
Kaneland CUSD 302 is hosting Inquiry Circles on Monday, April 17th at the Kaneland Meredith Academic Center (KMAC) from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Inquiry circles allows the community to come together and reflect on the progress of our crucial Kaneland Connects Strategic Plan. All community members (parents and students) are invited. We hope to see you on April 17th!
Fighting for Frankie
On Saturday, April 8th from 1:00-4:00 p.m., there is a Be the Match Screening and Versiti Blood Donation Event for our student, Frankie. Frankie was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and he will need a stem cell transplant. There is a 1:20,000 chance of finding a donor. Anyone between the ages of 18-40 are invited to come out to see if you could be a potential donor.
Ream's hot dogs will be available (while supplies last) and there will be a drawing to take home gift baskets. The band Wind and Steel will be playing, shirts and yard signs from SignFx can be picked up, a card making station for Frankie will be available, and a picture/video area will be set up to send Frankie a well wish. i-Ready Testing
All students will take the i-Ready math and reading assessments the week of April 17th. We have a special schedule that we will follow, but our students will still attend all of their classes each day. Please take note of the important information below.
- Testing will take place from 7:25-8:25 a.m. each day from April 17-21.
- Students should make sure their chromebook is charged the night before each day of testing.
- Students should eat a good breakfast before coming to school.
- Students need earbuds for the assessments.
- These assessments, along with other criteria, help us place students into appropriate classes (i.e., Accelerated Math, Challenge ELA, etc.). These tests should be taken seriously.
PTO Happenings
Our next No Cook Night is Thursday, April 20th at Open Range (1 Golf View Rd, Sugar Grove, IL 60554). Proceeds will be donated to the KHMS PTO whether you are dining in or ordering carry-out. Click here to access Open Range's website.
