PTO Winterfest

The KHMS PTO is excited to host Winterfest for the 3rd year. Gather your friends and family and come join us on December 7th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for shopping, raffles, crafts, and more!

Student Music Performances: Do you have a student that loves to sing, dance, or play music? This year we are featuring student performers! Sign up today to reserve a time slot for solo or group holiday music performances.

Student Vendors: KHMS students are invited to host their own vendor table. They can sell student created items such as art work, stickers, 3D prints, bracelets, etc. This is an excellent opportunity for students to work on entrepreneurial skills while also earning some money of their own. Use code "student" on the vendor application to receive a discounted vendor rate of only $5.

Community Vendors: Do you or someone you know own a craft/vendor business? Our Vendor Application is currently open. Register today to reserve your spot.

Raffles: KHMS PTO is seeking donations from local businesses for raffle items. If you or someone you know is interested in donating items or gift cards, please email khmspto@gmail.com

PTO No Cook Knight at Culver's

The next No Cook Knight is Monday, December 16th at the Culver's in Sugar Grove. If you dine at Culver's on this day anytime from 5:00-8:00 p.m., a portion of the proceeds will be donated to our PTO.

Yearbook

Yearbook orders are being accepted for this school year. Below is the link to order a yearbook.

Please don't hesitate to purchase a yearbook if your child would like one. Our purchasing deadline will be in February. We typically have upset students at the end of the year when we tell them there aren't extra yearbooks available for purchase.

e-Learning Information

Now that the winter season is upon us, we wanted to share our plan in case an e-learning day is called in lieu of a non-attendance day. Linked here are the guidelines for an e-learning day.

Early Release Days

Please note that we have early-release days on Thursday, December 19th and Friday, December 20th. Students will be released one hour earlier than usual (1:40 p.m.).

End of 2nd Term - Report Cards

The end of the 2nd Term is Friday, December 20th. Report cards will be ready for viewing on January 10th after 3:00 p.m.

Association of Illinois Middle-Grade Schools (AIMS) Celebration

Harter Middle School has had two recent opportunities for visitors to come observe our middle school model of excellence. KHMS is a National Forum 4-time School to Watch for demonstrating excellence in middle level education. This honor allows KHMS to host educators from around the state to visit and learn from our educational practices. Visitors from Naperville Districts 203 & 204, Glen Ellyn District 41, Plano District 88, Oswego District 308, McHenry District 15, Summit Hill Frankfort District 151, and staff and students from National Louis University were all visitors at Harter Middle School.

Art Award

Congratulations to our 8th grade student Giovanni on being awarded 2nd place at the Chicagoland 4x5 Exhibition Art Show. 350 pieces of art were submitted to the art show This is an amazing feat, and exemplifies her talent and dedication to drawing.
